Dan is from La Porte. He has his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Regis University and his Master's in Business from Indiana University at South Bend. He is a CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), and ALCM (Associate in Loss Control Management).
His community activities include the La Porte Chamber of Commerce, La Porte Economic Advancement Foundation, La Porte Family YMCA, La Porte County Public Library, La Porte Human Rights Commission, La Porte United Way, all of which he was president.
Dan's service to the insurance industry includes chair of the Government Affairs Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana, Travelers Insurance Company National Agents Council, Hartford Insurance State Agents Council, and Hanover Insurance State Agents council. He also has published articles for the CPCU Journal.
In his spare time he enjoys reading and golfing. Dan and his wife Kate have three children.
