Sandy began her insurance career in 1971 with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance and has been with GIS for over 29 years. Sandy’s expertise is in our personal insurance department which includes auto, home, boats, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, and personal umbrella policies. Sandy received her CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation in 1991 and continues to update it annually with 20 hours of continuing education. Sandy serves on the Board of Directors for GIS as VP of the Personal Lines Department.
Sandy and her husband, Jim, reside in La Porte where they raised their four children. She enjoys gardening, reading, and watching her five grandchildren grow. Sandy is a past member of La Porte Jaycees and Psi Iota Xi Sorority. She also served as a Board Member at La Porte Hospital for 7 years and is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where she serves on the Pastoral Council. She has also volunteered with Junior Achievement at Crichfield Elementary School.
